Colossal Wave! is a mixed reality experience exploring human impact on the natural world. The installation is at once a curious and playful scene in a public space, and a commentary on real world concerns in the Anthropocene age –climate change, intensive marine pollution such as the Pacific trash vortex. Without sermonizing, it aims to tease out the inherent conflicts of human existence and to expose, through sheer fun, the destructive tendencies in all of us.
